OFI Draft Tool is a free Windows app and this website. Both are made by an independent developer based in Spain (GitHub: OFI-Dovahkiin), who is responsible for the data described here. If anything is unclear, write to contact@ofidraft.com.
The short version
- There are no accounts, no sign-in and no analytics, in the app or on the website.
- What the app reads from your League client and from the game stays on your PC.
- We only publish aggregated statistics. The only exception is the profiles of a registered team's own players, shown to that team.
This website
The website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, has no forms and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The app on your PC
The app connects to:
- The League client on your own PC, through its local API. It reads the champion select session (champions, bans, positions and the names your client shows for your own team) and the game phase. When you press Import, it writes a rune page, your summoner spells and an item set.
- The game on your own PC, through Riot's local Live Client Data API, and only if you turn the overlay on: your champion and abilities, the items shown on the scoreboard and the game's events.
- GitHub, to check for new versions and download them. GitHub sees your IP address, as with any download. See GitHub's privacy statement.
What the app reads from the client and the game never leaves your PC. The app keeps a few files in your user folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\OFI Draft Gap Tool V2): your settings, a copy of the rune page it replaced on import, and an error log. They are never uploaded, and you can delete them at any time.
Data processed with the Riot API
- Ranked games. A scheduled job on our build server downloads public ranked Solo/Duo games from the EUW server through the official Riot Games API and aggregates them by champion and role. The downloaded games stay in our private build environment for as long as they are needed for the statistics. Only aggregates, with no player-level data, are published in the app.
- Team profiles. For the players of a registered team, and only for them, a weekly job stores their Riot ID, ranked information, champion mastery and recent games, which the app shows. Today the app, with these profiles inside, is distributed through a download link that we only share with that team; before a public release, each team's profiles will reach only that team. A player can ask to be removed by writing to contact@ofidraft.com; the profile disappears with the next weekly update.
- Captain tools. Two tools, Clash scouting and adding a substitute, run on the team captain's PC with a Riot API key the captain sets. Scouting reads the opposing roster published by Riot's Clash API and those players' public games. It is used to prepare that match, is never published and is deleted after 7 days.
We use this data because it is necessary for what the app does: showing statistics from public game data and helping a team prepare its matches. We do not sell or share it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles data
GitHub runs our build server and hosts the downloads, and Cloudflare hosts this website. Both are based in the United States and process data under their own privacy policies, linked above, which describe the safeguards they apply to transfers from the European Union.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use, by writing to contact@ofidraft.com. We answer within one month. If you think we have not handled your data well, you can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos or to the data protection authority of your country.
Children
The app does not ask for or collect personal data from you. If you are under 14, ask a parent or guardian before using it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its date.
